Affordable Rentals - Retirement Living 

Carinya Aged Care and Retirement Living have and will continue to be serving the community where it is needed.  One thing that has always been identified, is the need for affordable housing available to seniors within the community.  With this in mind it is fitting that the Carinya Crescent Units offer a rental option to those eligible to live within a retirement village.  Carinya Crescent units were originally built in 1970 onwards by the community to offer much needed accommodation to War Widows of Korumburra and surrounds.

Today Carinya Crescent units are nestled within the quiet surrounds of like-minded people ready to take a more peaceful, relaxing and stress free move towards their retirement.  Our rental properties do not require an in-going contribution they operate just as a normal rental would, with some added benefits and also an age restriction as per the Retirement Village Act.

Carinya Crescent have a mix of one or two bedroom units, some with attached carport/garage and driveways and some with no attached carport or driveway.

Whilst there is still plenty of room either in the front or back yard of the properties to enjoy some gardening of your own, this is not a requirement.  Carinya Retirement Village has a regular gardener to attend to all lawns and general pruning ect. This is at no extra cost to rental residents.

Carinya Retirement Village residents enjoy making friendships and having the safety of a close knit community.  Residents regularly meet (if they choose) monthly at the “Carinya Hub” for catch ups and even some knitting!

Currently we have a weekly bus service into the main street available to all Carinya Retirement Village Residents (fees apply).

​

Rentals are priced between $225 and $250* a week.

​

Rent must always be a fortnight in advance and rental fee includes lawn mowing and general maintenance.
