Carinya Aged Care is continuously staffed with a Registered Nurse 24 hrs a Day. Registered Nurses are supported by Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants.
Resident's bedrooms, communal living areas and restrooms are fitted with a newly upgraded Nurse On Call Emergency Call Bell system. The system allows care staff to monitor and be alerted by way of emergency call bells, sensor mats and entry/exit sensor points. Medical pendants are available on request or as required.
Carinya Aged Care residents have access to regular Dr. visits on site. Our close relationship with Korumburra Medical Centre ensures we have a doctor visit Carinya twice a week for scheduled appointments. 24 hr Emergency medical assistance is available from Doctors at Korumburra Hospital.
Carinya residents have access to a 24 hr pharmacy service, Nyora Pharmacy provide an efficient service. Our Care team will arrange for all medication to be supplied from the pharmacy as required.
Pain Management program is an additional service that Carinya offers to our permanent residents, residents who are invited to join the program are reviewed and invited by our Care Manager. Carinya's in-house physiotherapist fulfills residents individual Pain Management Programs whilst also providing a group exercise session available to all residents 4 days a week.
